Journaling through the Times: Writing, Vlogging, and Other Ways of Approaching the Self, Identity, and Life (U.S. West Chapter and SIG-USE)
Wednesday, March 4, 2026 (7:30 PM - 9:00 PM) (EST)
Description
Journaling can serve many purposes – documenting, exploration, channeling of the self, and more. Please join us in early March as we explore different ways and means for journaling, including social media, tattoos, storytelling and more. In this moderated panel discussion, each panelist will open with a brief introduction to their connection to this topic. Then panel moderators Drs. Annie Chen and Maja Krtalić will engage four scholars from different traditions and the audience in a lively exploration of different ways of approaching journaling. The panelists are:
Dr. Travis Wagner | School of Information Sciences, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign
Dr. Hanwool Choe | School of English, University of Hong Kong
Dr. Kirin Macapugay | Human Services, San Diego City College
Dr. Jennifer Campbell-Meier | School of Information Management, Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand
