Article writing has been an increasingly essential requirement for the job market of academics, and immersing in this field requires extensive experience. However, novice authors, especially non-natives, find it difficult to immerse themselves in the research community and start their publication journey. This webinar, therefore, presents Writing for Publication (WFP) linguistic and genre challenges, and it then provides several strategies that can be adopted to avail their restrictions from their publication path. Learning Objectives: 1) Identify linguistic and genre challenges faced by novice authors, particularly non-natives, in the process of writing for publication. 2) Explore strategies to overcome linguistic and genre barriers encountered during the publication journey, enhancing the chances of successful publication. 3) Develop a deeper understanding of the academic research community and its expectations, enabling participants to navigate the publication process more effectively and confidently.
