Last Reminder: Reserve a SIG or Chapter Business Meeting Time

Your SIG or Chapter's annual business meeting shall be held either at the ASIS&T Annual Meeting or virtually within two weeks before or after the Annual Meeting. An activity report for the previous year shall be presented at this meeting by the outgoing Chair.

If you are planning to hold your SIG/Chapter business meeting during the Annual Meeting, please reserve a one-hour time slot HERE as soon as possible.

If you are planning to hold your SIG business meeting virtually, please email Marlo Russell at membership@asist.org to request a Zoom link for your meeting. For a virtual Chapter business meeting, please email Jonah Coronis at info@asist.org.

Last Reminder: SIG & Chapter Tables at ASIS&T Annual Meeting

Please email us who your table's representative will be:

This is to ensure your SIG or Chapter has one representative at the table during the Welcome Reception on Sunday, November 16, from 5:45–6:45 PM. It is a great way to connect with potential new members!

➡️ Come to the Registration Desk ahead of time to pick up your SIG or Chapter's table tent.

Last Reminder: Procedures for Requesting SIG/Chapter Awards

Please fill out THIS FORM to request an award and/or certificate. For awards being handed out at the Annual Meeting, ASIS&T staff will have the certificates available to collect at the registration desk ahead of the Annual Meeting. Requests must be received by November 3 to be awarded at the Annual Meeting. Please remember that all recipients of ASIS&T awards must be ASIS&T members. You can confirm an awardee's membership status by searching for them in the membership directory.

Please Reach Out to our New Members from SLA!

Our new members from SLA are now fully integrated into the iConnect community platform. Please post a welcome message to them in your groups if you haven't yet!

Reminder: Before You Post in iConnect Groups

We would like to take a moment to remind you of the main iConnect forums and their purposes.

1. The Open Forum is a community intended to share news and views about ASIS&T and important information science topics. This includes SIG and Chapter announcements that can be valuable to membership at large.

2. The Affiliated Organization News community is for announcements from any other organizations that may be of value to ASIS&T members.

3. If you're going to post something to your SIG/Chapter on iConnect, don't also post in Open Forum. Post in one or the other but not both. Keep in mind that your members are getting those messages twice and may opt to unsubscribe if they are inundated with duplicate messages.
