Procedures for Requesting SIG/Chapter Awards

Please fill out THIS FORM to request an award and/or certificate. For awards being handed out at the Annual Meeting, ASIS&T staff will have the certificates available to collect at the registration desk ahead of the Annual Meeting. Requests must be received by November 7 to be awarded at the Annual Meeting.

Please remember that all recipients of ASIS&T awards must be ASIS&T members. You can confirm an awardee's membership status by searching for them in the membership directory.

If your award includes a financial transfer (not a reimbursement) to the awardee, please include a W-9 Form (US Citizen) or a W-8 form (non-US Citizen).

Annual Reports - Due September 1st

We kindly ask that each SIG and Chapter fill out their Annual Report Form in August. These reports serve to document the SIG/Chapter yearly accomplishments. These reports include qualitative and quantitative details such as:

  • Descriptions of conference sessions
  • Publications
  • Planning meetings and other relevant activities

Annual Reports are due by September 1, 2025 and we will be sending out your report forms within a few weeks. Click the buttons below to view the report questions in advance.

Annual Budgets - Due September 1st

SIG and Chapter budgets for Fiscal Year 2025-2026 are due by September 1, 2025. This is an early notice that HQ will be sending out your current financial statements in the next few weeks. This email will also contain a budget template for you to use for planning the FY25-26 budget and sending back to us by September 1st.

Get More Connected!

We encourage our SIG and Chapter members to post a conversation starter once a month in iConnect! The possibilities are endless - try posting a thought-provoking question or even just an icebreaker.

Reminder about iConnect Open Communities

We would like to take a moment to remind you of the main iConnect forums and their purposes.

1. The Open Forum is a community intended to share news and views about ASIS&T and important information science topics. This includes SIG and Chapter announcements that can be valuable to membership at large.

2. The Affiliated Organization News community is for announcements from any other organizations that may be of value to ASIS&T members.

Reminder of your SIG or Chapter Contacts

To best support your needs, ASIS&T offers direct contacts for all SIG and Chapter-related inquiries.

For SIG-related matters, please reach out to Marlo Russell at membership@asist.org.

For Chapter-related matters, contact Jonah Coronis at info@asist.org.

They will serve as your primary points of contact for any assistance related to ASIS&T SIGs and Chapters. They are happy to help with achieving your goals.
